With the craft beer and creative liquor manufacturing on the rise, there are plenty of breweries and distilleries to try out in the Grand Valley.  Colorado is no stranger to being the trendsetter and we certainly have been gaining a lot of ground in this subject. Here are some of our top local distilleries and breweries around town.

Peach Street Distillers: Palisade

A taste of Colorado's agricultural roots. Palisade is famous for its peaches, but local fruit can do more than fill a farm stand. At Peach Street Distillers, agricultural inspiration meets small-batch spirits, with a lineup that includes bourbon, vodka, gin, and brandy. Located in the heart of Palisade, this distillery offers a different way to experience the areas agricultural heritage. Visitors can enjoy craft cocktails and food while taking in the atmosphere of Colorado's fruit-growing country. Peach Street Distillers combines local character with a creative approach to spirits. Check it out!

Palisade Brewing Company: Palisade

Who says Palisade is only for wine lovers? Palisade Brewing Company has built its own place in the local beverage scene by focusing on innovative American-style beers while respecting the traditions of craft brewing. Located on Peach Ave, the brewery brings a laid-back gathering spot to a town better known for its vineyards and orchards. Its beer lineup offers an alternative for visitors exploring Palisade who want to branch out beyond wine tastings. Pair a visit with a stroll through downtown, a seasonal farm-stand stop, or a scenic drive along the Fruit and Wine Byway. It's an easy way to make an afternoon in Palisade feel different.

Trail Life Brewing: Downtown Grand Junction

For the outdoor enthusiast who appreciates a good local hangout. The Grand Valley is an outdoor playground, and Trail Life Brewing fits right into that lifestyle. Located on Main Street, this brewpub offers a relaxed place to unwind after exploring the area's trails, rivers, and public land. Trail Life pairs craft beer with a food menu that goes beyond the usual burgers and fries. Depending on what you're craving, you may find globally inspired dished alongside familiar pub favorites, making it.a good option for groups with different tastes. The downtown location also makes it easy to turn a quick stop into a full evening out, whether you're meeting friends for dinner or exploring more of the local business district. If you're looking for a casual atmosphere, local beer, and a meal all in one stop, Trail Life is a great choice!

Highlands Distillery: Grand Junction

If cocktails are more your style than a pint of beer, Highlands Distillery is another Grand Junction stop worth exploring. The distillery specializes in handcrafted spirits, including vodka and gin, and uses those spirits as the foundation for its cocktail offerings. The experience is part of the appeal. Rather than simply ordering a drink at a familiar bar, you can explore a local business built around the craft of distilling and the creativity that comes with their distinctive spirits and cocktails.

Ramblebine Brewing Company: Downtown Grand Junction

Downtown Grand Junction has its own character, and Ramblebine Brewing Company fits right in. Located on Colorado Ave, this independent brewery offers a taproom experience centered on flavorful craft beer and a welcoming, community oriented atmosphere. Its beer selection has included styles such as IPAs, pilsners, farmhouse ales, Belgian-inspired beers, and seasonal releases. That variety makes it an interesting stop whether you already know your favorite style or prefer to try something new with each visit. Ramblebine also embraces the social side of a neighborhood brewery, with local food options and events that give people another reason to gather downtown.

One of the best things about living in the Grand Valley is having so many ways to spend your free time without traveling far from home. You can start the morning with a hike, spend the afternoon exploring downtown Grand Junction, or head east to Palisade for a scenic drive through orchard country.

Local breweries and distilleries add another layer to that experience. They're places to meet friends, support independent businesses, discover new flavors, and enjoy a different side of the community.

Of course, you don't have to be a craft beer enthusiast or cocktail connoisseur to appreciate what these businesses bring to the Grand Valley. Sometimes, finding your next favorite local spot is simply about getting out, trying something new, and seeing your community from a different perspective. Let us know which one you enjoyed the most!
