Whether you've just bought your home in Grand Junction and made the move to town, or you've been living in the area for years, there's always something interesting to see and do. The museums are always a fun place to visit, and you can find some great ones in the area. Let's look at three of the top choices.

The Dinosaur Journey Museum

How do you and your kids feel about dinosaurs? If the success of Jurassic World is any indicator, the world loved dinosaurs, and you probably do as well. When you are in Grand Junction, you are in dinosaur territory… or at least you would have been if you were there 65 million years ago. Today, you can still see some fantastic fossils at the Dinosaur Journey Museum. You can see fossils from triceratops, stegosaurus, and more. They have robotic dinosaurs, and even an earthquake simulator.

The Children's Nature Center

If you have kids in the family, you want them to love Grand Junction as much as you do. In addition to the Dinosaur Journey Museum, you can be sure they will have a great time when they visit the Children's Nature Center. It's just as short distance away, and you can check out a variety of different animals.

Gateway Canyons Automobile Museum

Anyone who loves vehicles and automotive history will have a fantastic time when they hit up this museum. It features a number of different vehicles including a 1906 Cadillac Model H Coupe from 1906, concept cars, and so much more. It's a real treat.

Keep in mind that these are just a few of the many great museums located in and around the Grand Junction area. You and your family will always have something to do once you make the move to this beautiful town.
