John Williams

I am the oldest and newest addition to The Christi Reece Group. I could not be happier. Christi
has assembled a group of talented men and women, all of them dedicated to service and quality.
I am fortunate to be a part of this team.

I am a long-time resident of Mesa County. As an attorney. I spent most of my career in private
practice assisting clients with real estate and business needs. I had the good fortune of working
directly for a single corporate client for almost ten years managing the construction and early
operation of Gateway Canyons Resort. In that role, I was responsible for ranch properties,
building and management of Gateway Canyons Resort, and representing the owner in land
entitlement applications and hearings. I understand local government, land entitlements,
construction, agriculture and water rights.

It is important to me to participate in the community. I am a former board member and past
board president of the Grand Junction Economic Partnership, Hilltop Community Resources,
and the Grand Junction Visitors and Convention Bureau. I was elected to the School District 51
Board of Education in 2013 and again in 2017. The Grand Junction Chamber of Commerce
named me Citizen of the Year in 2018. Fun now is chairing the board of Eureka! John
McConnell Science Museum.

I am in love with Western Colorado, where I can easily indulge my need to be outside. I run,
hike, bike a little, camp, and fish. I like mowing my lawn. My passion is skiing. I think I ski
harder and better now than 35 years ago. But maybe not. After years of trekking to “famous” ski
mountains across the West, I find that there is no better mountain for just making me giggle than
Powderhorn Resort, a short 40 minutes way. The invitation is always open to come ski a few
turns with me on a weekday morning.

I have been married to Kim for 43 ago. She is my best pal. We have two kids and five
grandkids.
